Why is my account pending verification?
After registration, an admin at your institution must verify your account before you can book shifts. This usually takes 1–2 business days. Contact your unit manager if it's taking longer.
How do I join a unit?
Go to the My Shifts tab and tap "Add Unit". Search for your unit by name or enter the unit code provided by your manager. Tap "Request to Join" and wait for approval.
Why can't I book a shift?
Common reasons: the slot is full, the booking cycle hasn't opened yet (check the countdown timer), you have an active cooldown period, or you've hit the monthly limit for this unit.
How are points calculated?
Each shift slot has a point value set by the unit manager. Points are credited automatically when your attendance is confirmed. Your balance is the running sum of all confirmed shifts.
I didn't receive a push notification.
Make sure notifications are enabled for RotaMate in your device's Settings app. If the issue persists, sign out and sign back in to refresh your push token, then check again.
How do I cancel a booked shift?
Open the shift cycle, find your booked slot, and tap "Cancel Booking". Cancellations may affect your points balance depending on the unit's policy. A cooldown may apply after cancellation.
How does the home screen widget work?
The RotaMate widget shows your next upcoming shift, a countdown, and your current points. Add it from your device's widget gallery after installing the app. It updates automatically.
How do I delete my account?
Email us at the address below and we will permanently delete your account and all associated data within 30 days of your request.
